IITs are currently experiencing a decline in job placements for their students.
Recent reports reveal that 36 percent of students at IIT Bombay are struggling to secure a job.
Out of around 2,000 students who registered for placements, 700 are yet to secure a job.
This is despite the fact that IIT Bombay is the top engineering college in India, and among the best worldwide.
Job opportunities for MBA graduates have also plummeted by 55 percent in January this year (2024).
Data indicates that graduate unemployment has surged to nearly 30 percent.
